Biography
Victoria Wright has been practicing Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Oriental Medicine at SMRA University of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles (also, B.A. from University of Washington, 1967). Licensed in California in 1983,Victoria established private practice and worked as well with a Pain Management Team at San PedroPeninsula Hospital. She later developed the Acupuncture Department at South Coast Medical CenterHospital in Orange County, California, where she worked with pain, substance abuse and post surgical problems. In her private practice she specialized in Women’s Health and Sport Injuries.
Wright taught at Emperor’s College of Acupuncture and SRA University, including special seminars to prepare graduating classes for the State Board Exam. A founding member of the California Acupuncture Association, Wright served on the State Board of Directors and was founder and Executive Editor of the CAA Phoenix Journal for five years. She helped to develop and teach an acupuncture program for dentists at the University of California (UXLA) before moving to Kauai in 1991. Wright was a volunteer for Kauai Hospice for seven years, and served a year as a board director for the Hawaii Acupuncture Association.
Victoria practices in Princeville on the island of Kauai.
